What is a Project?
A project page can be used to show others how to accomplish a given task. You can use it to detail your own efforts or just use it as a collection of useful information. Project pages can be very useful to the community as a starting point to finding more information about a task.
How do I create a project?
You can show the community how you accomplished a task by creating a project page.
-
Start by clicking the "Create a Project" button to the left, or just click here.
-
Enter a general title for the project and a short description of what it's all about.
-
You can also change the folder name if you find it necessary. Note: To preserve link integrity, the folder name can only be changed when first creating the project.
-
Click on the default image to show the file upload utility. Upload an image which will give a good idea of what the project is about. This will show up as a thumbnail on the project categories page.
-
Add details to the first section, usually titled "Introduction". Add the details of the section, adding pictures, links and slideshows where necessary.
-
Add more sections by clicking the "Insert Section Here" button located just below the current section.
- When you are done adding sections, click the Publish button to submit the project.
What is the difference between a Project and a Challenge?
A project is used for showing others how to accomplish a given task. You can use it to detail your own efforts or just use it as a collection of useful information.
A Challenge page is used when you want some more input from the community to help you find the best way to accomplish your task. You can post a general description of what you want to do and the community can respond to it, giving their own input towards a solution.
